ChildcareEstimate, not advice
See how many funded hours a week a child gets when the 570 or 1,140 hours are stretched over the weeks your setting is open, how many hours to claim for each funded term week, and how many hours are paid. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
Local authorities set their own rules on stretching, term dates and how you claim. Check your provider agreement before you agree hours with a parent.
The yearly hours are divided by the weeks you are open and rounded down to two decimal places. Many local authorities pay on a 38 week basis, so the hours to claim for each funded term week are the weekly hours times your open weeks, divided by 38.
Rounded down so the weekly hours never add up to more than the yearly hours. Some local authorities round to the nearest hundredth instead. For example, 1,140 hours over 49 weeks is 23.26 hours a week here, because 23.27 × 49 is 1,140.23.
Term by term, the hours for the term are divided by the weeks you are open that term, again rounded down.

1,140 divided by 51 is 22.35 hours a week, rounded down.
570 divided by 51 weeks is 11.17 hours a week; over 48 weeks it is 11.87.
Many local authorities pay on a 38 week basis: weekly hours times open weeks, divided by 38. Check yours.
