Did my allotment pay its way?

Type in what you picked this season and what you spent. See what that food would have cost to buy at prices you choose, and whether the plot paid its way. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Top crops

Worked out at the prices you entered. Change any price and the answer updates.

This uses your season totals. To see it pick by pick, with your crops by month and your rotation for the next four years, use the harvest tracker that comes with the allotment planner.

    How it works

For each crop we multiply the amount you picked by the price you entered, then add them up. We add any money you made from selling produce and take away what you spent. If the answer is zero or more, the plot paid its way.

    Questions

Is an allotment worth it financially?

It depends on what you grow, what you spend and the prices you compare against. Type in your season and see your own answer.

Where do the prices come from?

You set them. Each crop starts with a rough example price that you can change to what you would pay.

    Should I count my time?

It is optional. Add your hours and we show what the result works out at for each hour.
